Havent seen it mentioned
Anyway to spot place all 7 heroes? I just got back a few days ago, and I have looked but I still only see a way to place just 3 heroes, and then you have to flag the remainders all together.
I looked through the interface and control windows but didnt see any options.

This is a deliberate choice by the developers. We're not getting the extra flags.

I guess they don't want to give any more advantages to playing with heroes over players.
Have the devs said anything about being able to bind your 4th-7th heroes skills?

Players can set the skill bars for their Heroes in the 5 - 8 slots and customize their weapons, runes, and insignias as usual. However, Heroes in these last four slots will follow the "Order All" flag, as opposed to having individually numbered control flags. We still want to have incentives for players to fight side-by-side. Allowing a single player to extensively micromanage his team would detract from the greatest strength of groups: coordination.

That kinda sums it all up, not much control over the other heroes.

I for one am pretty glad they left it this way.
Flagging 7 heroes from tiny icons trying to remember in the heat of battle which icon is which hero etc too much for my brain.
Besides I divide my party up with a front line of one or two with a backup then a reserve if you like which is the other four heroes.
If I could put all my heroes down one side of the screen and clicking those to flag then maybe I would want more but not as it stands.
That or party formations which is by far the best way to go imo, would love to have them all set up on voice commands.
Lot easier for me to yell run charge scatter etc than clicking.

Was doing Unwakening waters with a pug today and we made it in 12 minutes or so, which I found pretty pathetic. Bring heroes, 1 min 14 secounds completion time. No cons (not even i would use cons for a 1 min 14 sec long encounter ;P)
So TBH, apart from beeing able to bring gimmick builds with too much PVE skills. There isent a great deal of strengths at all human teams, and coordination i just have to laugh at. Rarely exists

I agree with Gabs. This hero update is only contradicting what they said about the flags. It's a done deal. GW1 is done. It's a solo game and many people (including me) prefer it that way. It's why we wanted 7 heroes.

Yes. I agree. When I do end up with pug, they are usually horrible at coordinating. Once I had this guy who was clearly a noob but wanted to lead. It was a real pain playing it with him. what is worse was that he insisted on bringing his heroes and I did not remember actually seeing a more horrible combo of builds.
I am not the best player with the best build but I'd rather play with my heroes. At least I know they are pro enough to know when to hit and when to run, when to rez and when to heal.

Its been a solo game since they first put heroes in in the first place I would say.
Now they made it so anyone can make their own group. And if they cant then they hire a runner or spend some money and play their account.
I dont really need to micro all 7, but I have to make sure I get the ones I do want to micro in one of the first 3 slots.
But somehow I am going to miss menlo we had some good times to gether.

Wont happen.. in an interview with John Stumme on the main page, he said they intentionally did not add extra flags cause it would be to easy to handle mobs then.. there would be less randomosity so to speak. My guess is that the developers rely on at least some heroes remaining the tools that they are to keep up the challenge of gameplay.. lol
they want people to still have a reason to form pugs.
